One suggestion that came up at the meeting on 6/28/23 is creating a coalition of all us rescues in order to support and be a resource for one another.  After years of not having any central place to ask for help or ask questions and clarification, this could be a great way to create our own rescue-based "safe space."   As a group we could navigate MDAR regulations and inspections, trade rescue best practices, and learn from one another on what worked well and what didn't, and even provide emotional support... without fear of being targeted, judged, or punished.  We have even reached out to pro bono lawyers who could support rescues under an umbrella of the coalition.  We have some big - but early - ideas and pipe dreams!
