Parvovirus in Puppies

Parvo is something we all dread. And do our best to prevent by vaccinating puppies according to this schedule. But if you work in rescue for any length of time, you will see it.

We have had some reports of puppies testing positive for parvo and being better within 2 days. We are not sure whether this is an instance of vaccine interference with the test.

We also have had some reports of puppies testing positive for parvo after getting three DHPP. If this happens, we recommend revisiting basics such as refrigeration and timing protocols.
